Description: At 110,860 sq km, this is the largest island of the Caribbean, with dramatic mountain ranges in the West and East. Much of the interior is relatively flat and heavily cultivated with sugar cane and tobacco fields. The northern coast has some lovely white sand beaches whereas the southern coast contains mostly wetlands and mangroves. The architecture of Old Havana is both beautiful and unique. And, Trinidad is a step into the past with its cobbled streets and empty squares.
