Description: Flat, desert-like island and reddish in colour. Some stone formation with caves containing ancient Arawak drawings. Interior vegetation is semi-arid and characterized by Aruba's Divi-Divi trees, distorted into windswept shapes by strong Trade Winds. Beautiful pale beaches but heavily developed by tourism -- some of the Caribbean's largest resorts are found here. Popular diving spot.
