Description:Avocado-shaped and 230 sq. miles. Volcanic island with famous 2000 ft. twin peaks, the Pitons, in the SW. Interior contains 19,000 acres of mountains, rain forest and green valleys -- as well as a drive-in volcanic crater. The North and Northwest is drier and flatter and fairly developed: hotels, residential communities and a busy yachting centre are found here.
